Diepensee and Selchow

 

Relocation of Diepensee and parts of Selchow

Relocating Diepensee and parts of Selchow has been essential to the expansion of Berlin's Schoenefeld Airport. The entire village of Diepensee and parts of Selchow are located on the future grounds of Berlin Brandenburg Airport. This relocation is governed by agreements made in June 1999 between the two communities and the airport owners: Berlin, Brandenburg, and the Federal Republic of Germany. The relocation of Diepensee was completed in December 2004, and the partial relocation of Selchow was successfully carried out in July 2005.
